The Suwanee 47 Commercial Model is designed to meet or exceed USCG standards for passenger-carrying vessels on lakes, rivers, bays and sounds, including in-shore coastal waters.  

Safety features include: a full collision bulkhead forward, a minimum of three watertight compartments, diesel powerplants, automatic fire suppression systems, large-capacity electric bilge pump for each watertight compartment, and one large capacity hand bilge pump, plumbed to two compartments. 

A full-length skeg is utilized to help protect underwater running gear from grounding damage and for added transverse and directional stability. 

An enclosed toilet room is standard.
