| The new Suwanee
47 has been very well received at the three boat shows
that we have attended since her introduction in 2006. In March
of 2006, we attended the Palm Beach Boat Show. We also spent
much time cruising the Intracoastal Waterway and “outside”
around Florida, where the Suwanee proved herself capable in
all situations, whether operating on two engines or one. Since
many areas of the ICW are speed-restricted, we decided to experiment
with lengthy cruising on one engine, with excellent results.
The boat handled well, and as one may imagine, fuel economy
was very satisfactory indeed!
In October of 2006, the Suwanee made her debut at the Annapolis
Powerboat Show, where she was received with great enthusiasm
and interest. In the weeks before and after the show, the
Suwanee was cruised extensively on the Chesapeake Bay, in
which all sorts of conditions and weather was encountered.
The Suwanee performed very well, and proved her mettle as
a fine “Bay Boat.”
In April of 2007, the Suwanee was on display at the Bay
Bridge Boat Show on Kent Island. Once again, we were pleased
with the interest and enthusiasm that was shown for the new
Suwanee. We have had many comments about “what a great
Bay boat” she is, and we agree! In hundreds of hours
of operation and cruising, in all parts of the Bay and the
ICW, the Suwanee has proved herself to truly be “A Splendid
Chesapeake Bay Cruising Boat!” |
