| The Suwanee 47
Commercial model is designed to meet or exceed rigorous
USCG standards for passenger-carrying vessels on lakes, rivers,
bays and sounds, including in-shore coastal waters. It is
designed to comply with many of the
standards published by the American Boat & Yacht Council
(ABYC).
This model is available in three versions: Open Deck, Partial
Cabin, and Full Cabin with Flying Bridge. |
| |
|
| |
| The Suwanee 47
Commercial model can be built in a variety of configurations.
The open deck version is ideal for use as a daytime excursion
vessel, fishing or dive boat, work platform, or cargo ferry.
Exceptionally stable, this model is designed for safety and
reliability. Twin diesel engines (configured either
in V-drive, straight inboard or stern drive) give the Suwanee
47 Commercial impressive performance and complete dependability,
with speeds up to 30 knots. |
| |
| The Suwanee 47
Commercial model can also be built in full or partial
cabin versions. The full cabin version, with flying
bridge, makes an excellent day or evening cruise vessel and
can accommodate six adults and two crew members for a professionally
catered dinner party. |
| |
| Safety is important aboard the Suwanee47
Commercial model with features including: a full collision
bulkhead forward, a minimum of three watertight compartments,
diesel power plants, automatic fire suppression systems, large-capacity
electric bilge pump for each watertight compartment, and one
large capacity hand bilge pump, plumbed to two compartments.
A full-length skeg is utilized to help protect underwater
running gear from grounding damage and for added transverse
and directional stability. |
